Infinitude

Hani Laronne

2005

"Hani Laronne's sculptures are crossbreeds between atomic molecular structures and storm-wrecked umbrella frames reunited to form evasive dimensions of design that repeatedly slip into an art form. Curved strands of exposed metal, or plastic buoys as colorful as insulated electrical wires, like small sails of flight machines to futuristic, accessible and evasive beauty. Every now and then crystal marbles are threaded atom-like on the vectors leading to the vertices, like fabricated diamond structures. Something reminiscent of early modernism has been captured in the rigid daintiness of these deep sea fishing nets, something aesthetic and pure."
